Morale Monday🤙🏻
Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you have started off your weeks in the best way possible. Hopefully you have created the time in your day/week to make sure you are tending to yourself and your wants!
Without doing productive things that you like to do, life becomes more of a chore and uninspired.
This leads right into the topic for today. I am building off last week's edition of the newsletter somewhat to talk about persistence.
"Persistence is to the character of man as carbon is to steel." - Napoleon Hill
You may wonder why I think the topic of persistence deals with focusing on the subjective mind instead of your objective world.
Almost all references to persistence are when something is a grueling challenge or a major setback in a plan.
I am referring to persistence in the ability to hold your attention on your subjective mind OR your goal and what you really want out of life. If you can hold the vision of your ultimate dream in your mind while taking action, the action and circumstances outside of you just become happenings that don't change your thoughts/feelings/actions.
For example from my own personal experience, as I was training and pursuing professional sports, I trained my ass off. However, it was never too hard to where I wouldn't take the action of training every day. It was just what I had to do to achieve my ultimate goal.
Did it take a lot of energy and effort? Of course. But it was worth it. I needed to do that to chase my goals. Nothing really affected my ability to keep that vision in the front of my mind. Since that vision was in the front of my mind, I constantly trained and never "missed" or "couldn't do" a work out.
Apply this to you... what is your goal? (If you don't have one, I highly suggest you set one) Do you constantly hold this goal in your mind? Do outside sources deter you from holding that image?
If your goal is to gain some muscle but you couldn't train today because (insert whatever random reason here). That is letting an outside circumstance control your actions and therefore your outcomes.
Yes, there are so many things out of our control, and they happen all the time. With three kids under 2 years old, I know that all too well.
But if you want something bad enough, an outside circumstance won't change your managing and doing the activities you need to do.
So what do you need to apply in your life? Well you need a goal. After you set your goal, hold whatever vision of that goal you have in your mind. Nothing can stop you from getting it.
So, persist in holding that vision. It is easy to let others and outside circumstances take us away from our goal. YOU are in control. Persist in your vision, and all the action you take is easier and on the way to your goal.
"Only persistency in the assumption of the wish fulfilled can cause those subtle changes in your mind which result in the desired change in your life." - Neville Goddard
Hold the vision, feel good, and have a great day/week everyone!
You deserve it!!
All Love,
Nick
