I wanted to take this newsletter and ask, what are you thinking about?
To quote the late, great Napoleon Hill, "We become what we think about."
But I want to bring your attention to a certain state and time for what you are thinking. We obviously all think about greatness and achieving goals from time to time.
But what are you thinking about when shit doesn't go quite as planned, or even worse, completely wrong? You have miserably failed. What is going through your mind constantly at these moments?
I know for me, it isn't all that great. I would venture to guess it's about the same for you.
And when you think these thoughts, does it force you to quit altogether?
Sometimes we get so caught up in our own heads in those times of failure and self-doubt, we just choose to stop.
The only way to guarantee an absolute failure is to stop.
The way to success is to keep going.
So you need to change your perception about those types of situations. Whatever perception shift you need to get your mind changed, I would use that. So, if something goes wrong or doesn't work, instead of getting down on yourself constantly, change your perception. You are one step closer to success. You figured out a way that something doesn't work. That seemingly negative thing actually happened for you because there is something better around the corner.
Whichever change in your mind that you need, use it in the situation.
This will allow your thinking to change and be more in line with your goal and getting to the dream that you desire.
There is your reminder for the week, we become what we think about. So make sure in any situation you catch yourself not focusing on your goal, to change your thinking.
